My husband (whom I met at Amelia Earhart Elem) and I were having dinner tonight and were reminiscing about how we met. We both had Mrs. Wallerstein (him for 4th grade and me for for 6th). We were discussing how she seemed like such a cool person and wondered what her life was like outside of school. One quick Google search and we came across this post. We are so sad to learn of her passing. She was one of the few teachers he and I had that really stood out. She was the true definition of a teacher. She was strict, but caring. She was insightful, passionate, funny and one of the most knowledgeable and wise teachers we had. She was a stickler for good handwriting lol. Although we are sad that she has passed, we are so glad she lived such a full long life alongside her loved ones. It's beautiful to read what a wonderful life she led. May she rest in peace.
