Ernestine Case-Dixon
November 16, 1933 - February 6, 2021
Ernestine Case-Dixon was born in a Christian home, to Lydia and Cornelius Case in Clarksonville, St Ann, Jamaica on November 16, 1933. She was the third child of twelve, the only girl among six boys before Keitha, another girl was born. Being the oldest girl in the home, she naturally became Mama’s biggest helper and a secondary care giver to her siblings. Over time, she was awarded the title of “Sister Mary.” This title was used to address her by her siblings, a large number of family members, and even by her children. Her children later abandoned it and began to call her “Mother.” As a result of her upbringing, she grew up to be God-fearing, industrious, resourceful, accommodating, thoughtful, strong-willed and loving. Her husband, Cedric is deceased. She is survived by her four children: Eltha, Corine, Collin, and Carol. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Jared, Andre, Redmond, Julian, James, Jacob, David, Eddy and her great grandson, Ezra. In addition, she is survived by seven of her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rest In Peace Sister Mary. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 11:00am at Alexander-Levitt Funerals & Cremations 8135 W. McNab Road Tamarac, FL 33321. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to The St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. Please visit: www.stjude.org
