Lillian Koretsky

Koretsky, Lillian of Tamarac, FL, passed away on May 11th. She was 93. A native of Malden, Mass., she was the second child and only daughter of Russian immigrants, Fannie and Max Wisser. She was predeceased by a brother, Sidney. She spent most of her early life in Malden and graduated from Malden High School. She married fellow Malden native Bernard Koretsky and together they raised three sons. Her greatest joy was taking her boys to the beach, driving them to Salem Willows park, attending baseball games with them at Fenway Park, driving them to Hebrew school, and cheering them on as they went through school. She worked for the Federal Government in downtown Boston for more than 20 years. She loved Judaism and the Jewish culture. She enjoyed making Friday night dinners, shopping at the Jewish markets on Sundays in Chelsea, Mass., and bringing back goodies for her sons to eat. She relocated to South Florida in her 60s and lived close to all of her family. She loved eating at Jewish delis with her sons and grandchildren. She felt lucky to live her final years with wonderful and loyal aides, Sandy and Georgette. She is survived by her sons, Steven (Pam), Ralph (Felicia), Jay (Sue-Ann). She was proud Bubbe to Andrea, Michael, Scott, Chloe, and Chase. Funeral services are at Noon, Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Beth David Levitt-Weinstein Hollywood, 3201 N.W. 72 Ave. Hollywood, FL 33024.
