Norman Arthur Levin

Mr. Norman Arthur Levin, of Newport, Rhode Island, born on March 19, 1935 in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Rose Levin and the late Max Levin, passed away at age 83 on February 26, 2019 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Norman graduated from University of Miami in 1959. Norman served in the Navy from 1953 to 1955 and he also worked in the Real Estate industry as an entrenpreneur at Miracle Properties. Norman was preceded in death by his sister, Adele :Pevzner. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Levin and Storme Levin; and brother, Harvey Tobin Levin. He enjoyed sunbathing and walking on the beach, watching sunsets, going to the movies and live theater, and travelling. He loved summers in Narragansett, RI, riding in boats, playing endless games of backgammon with his best friend Carl Nierenburg, watching his New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, the Celtics, UM Hurricanes, and the Miami Dolphins. He entered the Hemingway Lookalike Contest in Key West multiple times and always made it to the finalists but never won. For the holidays, he dressed up as Santa Claus and donated gifts to ill or under privileged children. Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Rabbi Nathan Rose, on Monday, March 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Chapel, 3201 NW 72nd Ave., Hollywood, Florida, 33024. After the services, we will be meeting at his house to continue the celebration of his life at 2400 N Ocean Blvd, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33305. His family will be sitting Shiva on Tuesday March 5 from 5-10 pm at his house.
