Barbara Cohen's Obituary
Cohen, Barbara Eleanor (Block) of Boynton Beach, Florida (originally from Massachusetts) passed away quietly at home Thursday, September 9, surrounded by her loving family, listening to “Through the years,” her favorite song. It was just as she wanted. She’s known for faithfully sending cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and special events; being a gifted Mah Jong player; and being a nonjudgmental listener. She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Arnold Eugene Cohen. She is survived by her five loving children: June Cohen and her husband Kenneth Naiff of Scottsdale, AZ; Linda (Cohen) Gulko and her husband Mark Gulko of Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico; Lloyd Cohen of Lakehills, TX; Marcy (Cohen) Lynn and her partner Rob Dunlap of Lake Worth, FL; and Sara Jo (Cohen) Unger and her partner Jim Hayes of Boynton Beach, FL. Barbara was blessed with four grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Shana (Gulko) Gondelman and her daughters Sydney and Alyssa of Needham, MA; Daniel Gulko of Pai, Thailand; Cassandra (Lynn) Bozard, her husband Sean Bozard, and their sons Walker and Dalton of Virginia Beach, VA; and Courtney Lynn of Denver, CO. She also was preceded in her passing by her brother Herbert Block and sister Natalie (Block) Shuman. In addition to these family members, there are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she considered part of her immediate family and loved dearly. And of course, her cherished dog, Woody. She is being interred at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, FL adjacent to Arnold. A Zoom Celebration of Life will be held later. In lieu of flowers we ask that contributions be made to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, www.trustbridgefoundation.org. Join Zoom Meeting
