Carlos G. Claveria's Obituary
Carlos G. Claveria, 62, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Sunrise, FL.
Carlos was born on June 3, 1963 in Palma Soriano, Cuba, but his life really began in 1988, when he & his wife were able to escape communism & immigrate to the United States. Carlos immediately immersed himself in American culture & became a huge fan of NFL football, particularly the Dallas Cowboys.
After living in California & New York for several years, he finally settled his family down in south Florida. Carlos had a long career in security, most recently for American Express for almost 30 years. He will be remembered as a generous & loving family man. He had a tough exterior, but inside was really a big softy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Geovanys, children Dafne Claveria (Yordankis), Gina Mallica (Anthony), & Carlos F. Claveria (Jessika), & grandchildren including Laura, Evelyn, Arthur, Oliver, CJ, & others.
The family invites all who knew and loved Carlos to join them for a Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church (10900 W Oakland Park Blvd) at 12:30PM on Saturday, November 22nd. A reception & eulogy will immediately follow, held in the church pavilion, to continue celebrating his life.
