Clifton Pantophlet's Obituary
Clifton Pantophlet was born to Ethelbert McAlister Pantophlet and Rosa Amelia Gumbs on June 27, 1934. He was born on the island of Anguilla and moved to Aruba, where he grew up.
Clifton carried with him a deep love for music. He was in a musical band in his younger days. He loved all genres of music and loved to sing and dance.
Clifton relocated to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, where he spent most of his life. Clifton is survived by his son, Ronald Pantophlet, daughter Melissa Pantophlet Abramson, and many other close family members, friends, and loved ones. He was a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
In the last two years of his life, Clifton moved to Florida. Although many were concerned about his willingness to relocate and accept change, he embraced it with love and joy. He trusted in his Faith and knew that at this junction of his life, it was the closeness and ability to spend quality time with family that truly warmed his heart. His positive energy and smile would light up the room as he was never one to complain; rather, he would encourage others not to worry, taking life one day at a time. Clifton would always say, “Forward ever backward never”, which was a philosophy that he lived by. Leaving the past behind and keeping focus on the future.
Although Clifton is gone, he left behind his joyful spirit and memories, which will forever be engraved in our hearts.
“And you better believe it!”
