Diane Bloom's Obituary
Beloved mother, grandmother wife and sister passed away November 12, 2023
Diane was born March 15, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, a city she always considered her home. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She eventually moved to San Francisco to marry and start a family. Diane enjoyed photography and painting, taking her young daughter on adventures around San Francisco and later to see Broadway plays and musicals but most of all she doted on her grandchildren who she often cared for during their childhoods . She was the consummate Jewish mother never letting anyone out of the room without insisting that they “drive carefully” after she made sure they had “eaten enough”
She was preceded in death by her husband Philip Bloom, her parents Morris and Molly Berger, and her sisters Sandy Pakula and Joyce Schiff. She leaves behind her daughter Felicia Holcomb, her grandson, Nicolas Holcomb, her granddaughter, Alyssa Holcomb, her sister Cynthia Nalven, her brother Jeffrey Berger and many nieces and nephews.
Her senior quote from her yearbook read “her bright smile and blue eyes, always light up the skies” She will remain safe in our hearts until we meet again.
A chapel service will be held on November 17, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Alexander-Levitt Chapel, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, Florida 33321.
