Elizabeth Schwamb's Obituary
Elizabeth Florence (Caswell) Schwamb died on March 2, 2020. Elizabeth, nicknamed Bette, was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 9, 1937. Several years later, the Caswell Family moved to Carney’s Point, New Jersey, where Bette graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School in 1954. There she met her future husband, Dale Schwamb. They were voted cutest couple! Bette graduated from Glassboro State College with a degree in Elementary Education and later taught at Salem County Career and Technical Center. Bette also served as parish secretary at Queen of the Apostles Church in Pennsville and as a legal secretary at William J. Horner Law Firm in Salem.
Bette is survived by her two daughters Nancy (Dennis) Robeson of Parkland, Florida and Joyce (Rex) Bohn of Clayton, North Carolina; three adored grandchildren, Andrew Robeson (Kayla), Bradley Robeson (Marjorie) and Elizabeth Lacey Bohn. Survivors also include her childhood friend, Joan Guglielmo, lifelong friend Martha Tighe and friend Larry Edwards.
Visitation shall be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Alexander-Levitt Funerals, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, Florida 33321 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. There will also be visitation and an opportunity to greet family on March 21, 2020 at the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 740 South Broadway, Pennsville, New Jersey beginning at 10:00AM. Burial shall be at Lawnside Cemetery, 896 NJ-45, Woodstown, New Jersey 08098 at 11:30 AM.
