Enrique Felix Peniche's Obituary
Enrique Felix Peniche, admired for his gentle nature, humor, and unwavering faith, passed away on April 22, 2025. Born on March 29, 1944, was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country with honor and integrity.
Henry is preceded in peace by his wife, Isabel Peniche, and is survived by his daughter Elizabeth "Lisa" Granata; his son-in-law Major (US Army, Retired) Derek M. Granata; his sister and brother in-law Silvia M. Borges and Pedro L. Borges; his nephew and niece Lieutenant Colonel (US Army Retired) Pedro F. Borges and Sylvia M. Hernandez; and numerous other cousins. Henry’s family ties extend further consisting not only of blood, but also bonds of the heart through numerous friendships. Henry was the old fashioned gentleman who would take off his shirt to help anyone in need. He was cherished deeply by many, and his legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity.
Henry was his daughter's hero. He taught her to always be kind and generous to those less fortunate. He lifted her up when she was down and supported her throughout her life. It was an unconditional love. Nothing brought Henry, as well as Isa, more joy than knowing his daughter was happy and safe. He was very grateful knowing that Lisa had an excellent partner. To him, Derek was a blessing who loved and still loves Henry in kind.
Henry was also blessed to have a wonderful wife. He first met Isa in school in Cuba, but they didn’t fall in love until they were reunited years later through their aunts. Married for nearly 58 years, they were fortunate to travel together around the world through cruises and numerous other excursions having many unique experiences they shared with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Henry will take place on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 from
4:00pm-8:00pm at the Alexander-Levitt Funeral Home located at 8135 W. McNab Rd., Tamarac, FL 33321. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate his life are welcome. His burial will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 1:30pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lane 5, Wellington, FL 33449.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created in memory of Henry for the Alzheimers Foundation.

Henry's loss is deeply felt by his family and all those who knew and loved him. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed. His memory will continue to live on and inspire integrity, resilience, and his faith in God to those whose lives he touched.
