Florence Linden's Obituary
Florence Linden, 96, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on November 30, 2022.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Murray and Sarah Madison, Florence met and married Irv, who played trombone with Sammy Kaye’s orchestra. After she graduated from Brooklyn College, they moved to Miami, Florida and raised their family there. Florence had an amazing 35 year career with the Dade County School System. She was loved and respected as a teacher, county administrator and middle school principal.
Florence was a loving mother to Caryn (Dan), and Mark (deceased), beloved grandmother/Nana to Monica (Trevor), Caitie (Brian), and Zach (Natalie), and six adoring great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, devoted husband Irving, beloved son Mark, and brothers Melvin and Leonard Madison. Florence will be buried in a private family ceremony.
