Gaelle A Janvier's Obituary
Gaelle Alexandra Janvier, 28, passed away suddenly of natural causes on March 26, 2024.
She was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, on April 20, 1995 to Alix Janvier and Marie Antoinette
Pascale Henry Janvier. Unfortunately, her mother passed away in 2002 at which time she
lived with her aunt and uncle Max Edgard and Nagela Piard. She moved to the US in 2005 to
join her father who married Nedjey Marie Cassamajor and settled in Randolph,
Massachusetts. Gaelle attended ‘Arc En Ciel’ Preschool in Haiti and Donovan Elementary
school in Randolph, MA. When the family moved to Florida, she attended New
Renaissance Middle School, Forest Glen Middle School, then graduated from Corals
Springs Charter School in 2013. Gaelle participated in many activities including tennis,
cross country, Key club, French club. She received the Rotary Club Scholarship, was
inducted in the National Honor Society, and received French competition awards. After
high school, Gaelle attended Florida Atlantic University and received a certificate in
Hospitality Management. She also earned a Special Ed Teacher Assistant certificate from
Broward County Schools. Gaelle volunteered as a camp counselor with the Girls Scout of
America and as a communion catechist at St Andrews. She continued in this line of work
for the City of Sunrise and the City of Coral Springs. She then worked as a Special
Education Teacher Assistant at Heron Heights Elementary school and at Ramblewood
Elementary School. In 2019, Gaelle decided to focus her career on hospitality and joined
SkyWest Airlines as a flight attendant. She visited many countries including Greece, Spain,
France, Fiji, Mexico, Canada, and many states in the US. Gaelle was known for her gentle,
kind, and empathetic demeanor. We will remember her for her striking beauty of mind and
body. She will be mourned by her parents Alix and Nedjey Janvier, her siblings, Alexander
Ned and Olivia Marie, by her aunts and uncles: Max Edgard and Nagela Piard, Reynold
Janvier, Nancy Janvier, Rivelino Janvier, Carine Janvier, Widmayer Janvier, Sheila Henry,
Gregoire Henry, Nadine Henry, Betty Henry; her cousins: Coralie, Tommy, Hearwin, Rivka,
Nelson, Nagela Rosa, Cedrick, Sashi, Sybille, Sara Chloe, Anne-Taina, Yael and Widmayer
Jr., Arielle, Anna, Soraya, Christian, William, Elyse, Abell, Daniel. She will be sorely missed
by her extended family namely the Janvier, Piard, Felix, Siclait, Banatte, Cassamajor,
Jeannot, Toureau, Dorismond, Laforest, Duprat. May her soul rest in peace.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 8:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at Alexander-Levitt Chapel, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, Florida. Followed by a catholic mass at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 10900 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351.
