Silvia Fagiani Schoor
Dear Gena, my friend. After a long and fulfilling life, I hope you are now with God. The years that I spent with you, after you stopped driving, helping with daily activities were fulfilling and extremely educational. Your incredible stories about life for you and your family in Poland, running/hiding from Nazi officers, your married life in New York with sons Philip and Zachary, and your career as a NY esthetician. Your devotion to your faith always amazed me. You taught me about the Jewish faith, holidays and Friday prayers at sundown. I accompanied you to synagogue for many holy days and to say Kaddish when your son Philip passed away. I am sorry that I wasn’t there for you when Zachary passed away. Always a strong woman, you bravely endured the sudden deaths of your two beloved sons. You endured so much pain during your long life. Now you are at peace. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Much love, Silvia (Gussie’s daughter in Southampton.)
