George Nemerofsky's Obituary
George Nemerofsky (July 20, 1926-December 4, 2020)
Peacefully on December 4, 2020, George, age 94, passed away while under Hospice Care in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, the son of Mary and David Nemerofsky. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Celia Scalarsky Nolan and Edna Fox.
George was an Industrial Arts teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools for over 30 years. Upon retirement, he moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather. He loved to travel and spent many summers in Japan teaching English as a second language. George served his country spending three years in the Army in Japan during World War II.
George never married but was a devoted uncle to his niece, Donna (Fox) Vlassich and nephew, Jerry Fox. He is survived by many other nieces and nephews including great nieces and nephews.
Due to the Corona Pandemic, services and internment will be private. He will be buried at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
