Gerald "Jerry" Gurewitz's Obituary
Gerald “Jerry” Gurewitz, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of 83. He was born on April 1, 1943, in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Gurewitz, who shared a lifetime of love and partnership with him. He also leaves behind his son, Darin (Jodi) Gurewitz. Jerry was a proud grandfather to Lance (Chana) Gurewitz and Lindsay (Philip) Rosatone, and a cherished great-grandfather to Menachem Mendel, Avraham Dovid, and Avery Reese, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Gurewitz, whom he held dearly in his heart.
A cryptside service honoring Jerry’s life will take place on June 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Temple Beth El Memorial Gardens in Davie, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions in Jerry’s honor be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://alz.org) or the Lewy Body Dementia Association (https://lbda.org/), causes that support important research and care for those affected by these conditions.
Jerry’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, family, and quiet resilience will continue to inspire generations to come.
