Harvey Katz's Obituary
Harvey Katz was born on August 31, 1940 to Isadore and Frieda Katz, and peacefully passed away on Sunday March 12, 2017.
Harvey served his country honorably as a first lieutenant in the army, stationed in Korea. After returning to the states he continued to serve his country employed as an Internal Revenue Service agent of the Treasury Department. Harvey retired from the government after nearly 30 years of service and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years reading, playing tennis, trading in the stock market, and doting on his loved ones: his significant other, children and grandchildren. Harvey was a loving life partner to Eilene, beloved father of Lani and Tracy and cherished grandfather of Evan, Lexi and Taylor; Harvey is also survived by Susan Katz and his younger brother Stephen Katz.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10am at Levitt Weinstein/Beth David. 3201 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024. Shiva will be observed following services until Friday at sundown. For further information please contact Levitt Weinstein/Tamarac (954) 721-2500.
