Herbert Drucker's Obituary
Herbert Drucker (February 5, 1933 – July 7, 2024) Beloved husband of Roslyn, father of Frank (Ellen), Warren (Lori) and Alice (Frank), grandfather of Sam, David (Yael), Steven, Mary, and Nicole.
Herb, as he was known to a wide circle of loving family and friends, was an entrepreneur, lifelong learner, U. S. Navy veteran and devoted family man.
He was born in Brooklyn, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and met his beloved Roslyn, wife of 67 years, through mutual friends.
He owned a series of transmission shops in New York City and Long Island, where he worked hard, raised his children, and remained active in several organizations.
He moved to Florida with his family in 1974 where he owned transmission shops before retirement. Throughout his life, his curiosity led him to learn. After building transmissions for much of his life, he taught himself about personal computers. His desire to learn Spanish led him to initiate conversations and global friendships. He loved to play instruments, and taught himself the piano, accordion, harmonica, guitar and ukulele, proudly coaching family, and neighbors as they learned to play. He explored the world on cruise ships with his beloved Roz at his side. He will be greatly missed.
A chapel service will be held on July 10, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Alexander-Levitt Chapel, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, FL 33321.
