Ira D Joseph's Obituary
Ira Joseph, 92 years old of Weston, Florida, passed away on August 13, 2021. Ira was born on January 27,1929, to Alexander and Annabelle in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
While tending to horses on the family farm, Ira developed a great passion for horseback riding and later he became a jockey.
Upon migrating to the U. S. mainland, Ira worked for 35 years at the Jewish Memorial hospital and Beth Israel hospital as head chef.
Ira was a loving and devoted husband who ensured that his family received everything that they needed. Ira was a people’s person who enjoyed talking with his neighbors, and taking long walks throughout the neighborhood.
Ira is survived by his wife Maisie, sons, Ira, Fritz, Darren, stepson Patrick, daughters, Helen, Louise, Dorothea, several grand-children, great grand children, great-great grand children, and other relatives, and many friends.
A chapel service will held on August 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Alexander-Levitt Funerals & Cremations, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, Florida 33321.
