Janyce Wolf Jacobs' Obituary
Deerfield Beach, FL --- Janyce Wolf Jacobs, a resident of Seattle, Chicago and ultimately Florida, died on the 15th of April at The Forum at Deer Creek Country Club. Born in 1926, she received Bachelor degrees from Mundelein College in Art History and Spertus College of Judaica in Jewish Studies. She co-owned a party planning business with her three dearest friends and also founded a video production company that recorded video life histories of prominent Jews in America. She was a life member of Hadassah, a benefactor and docent at the Boca Raton Museum of Art and a lifelong arts patron. Janyce loved good food, socializing, classic movies and bragging about her grandchildren. She is survived by her second husband, Marvin Jacobs and her daughters Laura Groshong (Geoff) and Joan Wolf (David). She is pre-deceased by her husband Henry Wolf, son Mark, brother Gerson Gluck and sisters Mildred Talman and Helen Schuster. She was exceedingly proud of her grandchildren Joe Groshong (Kate Elias), Jake Groshong (Christine), Leah and Harrison Chiaverini, and was the positively giddy great-grandmother of Margaret, Parker and Charlotte. She also had special relationships with many of her nieces and nephews, especially Joanne Schwartz. Memorial gifts may be made to Hadassah (Hadassah.org) or Zemer Chai: The Jewish Chorale of the Nation’s Capital (zemerchai.org).
