Jeffrey “Jeff” Peters Stern
Jeffrey “Jeff” Peters Stern, 83, of Plantation, Florida, passed away on March 20, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Jeff was born on October 29, 1942 to Frances and William Stern in The Bronx, New York.
He earned his Bachelors degree in Business at the University of Miami and became a successful entrepreneur in the fashion industry. He started out with his own boutiques in North Miami, FL and went on to manufacture women’s junior sportswear with his own company, You Gotta Be Kidding, for 25 years. One of his highlights was having his creation on display in the Macy’s windows of New York City.
He loved teaching textiles at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. After teaching, he went into the healthcare industry starting an in-home health care service company.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Gloria, his brother, two children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His passions were spending time with his family, traveling the world, boating in the Florida Keys, and staying busy creating new ideas.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a future date.
