John Rosen's Obituary
John Rosen passed away Friday March 14 peacefully in Florida.
John and his older brother Arthur were Kindertransport children leaving Germany in
1939 ----- when his family moved him and his brother to England to escape the Nazis --- he
was with a welcoming family in the London area until the end of the war --- than reuniting
with his parents.
John came to America in the 1952 to NY where he worked with his uncle Arthur
and went into the advertising business-he served in the army in October 1955-56 and after
leaving service – went back to the advertising business and eventually ending up in Detroit
to start his own business.
John had a great passion for sailing and was an active member of the Great Lakes Yacht
Club for many years---creating many long time meaningful relationships.
Many years he wintered in Florida becoming a full time Florida resident a few years ago.
John was the son of Erna and Solomon Rosen, his brother Walter and sister in law Valarie
all who predeceased him.
John left behind a niece Karen and Ray Oshry and a nephew Andrew and Lisa Rosen and
many devoted friends.
John’s wish was to be cremated, and the service was conducted at the Alexander-Levitt
funeral home in Tamarac, Florida.
