Joseph Fleisch's Obituary
Joseph Fleisch, 91, passed away on September 30 2017. Joseph is survived by his wife of 69 years Irene and his sons Arnold, Steven and Jeffrey and his beloved best friend Shih Tzu Oreo. Joseph was born in Brooklyn New York July 19, 1926. He served in the Navy for 4 years during World War II. He enlisted, at the age of 16, with his father’s permission, and joined the thousands of other brave men and woman who went to fight for our great country.
During his life Joseph was always there to help his family, friends and neighbors. As a talented person who could fix almost anything he was often called upon to meet the challenges that others faced on a day to day basis. As an auto mechanic by trade, Joseph held several service and sales positions during his lifetime but was always driven by the fact that things needed to be done right and not just quickly.
Joseph was a disabled veteran who was grateful for the support he received from his local VA. He was often disappointed by the difficulty that he found for himself and other veterans to identify the services and support that they were entitled to receive as veterans. Joseph and his wife Irene were grateful for the disability benefits that he received, since the benefit dollars enabled them to deal with their everyday financial issues. It is sad that when a veteran passes away and the remaining spouse must often face financial hardship when a critical part of their monthly income just disappears.
A Memorial Tribute will be held for Joseph at the Five Star Premiere Residences of Plantation on October 8th 2017 between 12 and 2 located at 8500 West Sunrise Boulevard in Plantation. It will be on the second floor in The Studio Room.
