Obituary for Judith Angela King-Phillips
Rose: April 24, 1962 Wilted: October 20, 2025
It is with profound love and sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Angela King- Phillips, who transitioned peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Judith was born on April 24, 1962, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Thelma King and the late Harry King. Her journey began in Jamaica and continued when the family migrated to New York, where she completed her high school education and earned her Associate Degree in Travel and Tourism. Though she started in that field, Judith later discovered her true calling in healthcare. Through hard work, compassion, and dedication, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, a profession she faithfully served in until her retirement.
During her retirement she embraced her second passions for crocheting, sewing, planting, and baking. She poured her heart into every creation, bringing warmth and beauty into the lives of everyone around her. When she wasn’t crafting or tending to her garden, she cherished time spent with her beloved grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Judith’s kind and loving spirit touched all who knew her. She carried a gentle grace, a genuine heart, and an open ear that made it easy for others to confide in her. To know her was to love her. She was truly our angel on earth, and while her physical presence will be deeply missed, her light and love will forever remain within our hearts.
Judith leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother , Thelma King; devoted husband, Milton Phillips; her loving children, Melody Charles and Maurice Jackson; her cherished son-in-law, Dion Charles; her adored grandchildren , Jaheim Charles, MaKaye Jackson, Amari Jackson, Deana Charles, Jordan Jackson, Kayden Jackson, Phoenix Jackson, Melonie Charles, Messiah Charles, and Keima Charles; her beloved siblings, Nikita King, Ann King Pascall, Christopher King, and Huwie King; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Though Judith has departed this earthly life, her love, laughter, and legacy will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
