Judith "Judie" Lamm's Obituary
Our dear mother Judie Lamm passed away peacefully on October 7, 2022, at the age of 86, with her loving daughters by her side. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the communities in which she lived – originally Worcester, MA, then Ridgefield, CT from 1972-2000 and finally Delray Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her parents, Isadore (Ted) Salman and Blanche (Nussenoff) Salman, her beloved “significant other” Henri (Hank) Guertin, a nephew she greatly loved Jason Saltman, and her much loved brother-in-law Stuart Saltman. Judie is survived by two daughters: Allison Lamm of Danbury, CT; and Michele (Lamm) Chapuis/David Chapuis, of Orchard Park, NY. She is also survived by two granddaughters she loved very much: Hannah and Rachel Chapuis, her sister Sandy Saltman and family: Laura Saltman and her son Brenner, and Michael Saltman, his wife Shari, and children Emma and Max.
Judie was a well-respected realtor in Ridgefield, CT and continued in the field when she and Hank moved to Delray Beach, FL in 2000. They enjoyed many years of love and laughter together in CT and FL before his passing in 2005. Judie continued to keep busy spending time with friends in her Pines of Delray community. She also continued to enjoy working, up until last year, as a weekend receptionist at Valencia Falls where her co-workers and residents of that development became very special to her. She was a strong, independent woman who lived and died on her terms; feisty to the end. We are extremely proud of her and the brave battle she fought. She was very loved by her family, and will be greatly missed.
A Cryptside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11 at 2:15pm, at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Rd 7, Boynton Beach, Florida, 33473, followed by Shiva held at the home of Sandy Saltman. The family would like to request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org/ (an organization that our family supports very strongly) or Trustbridge Hospice,
www.trustbridge.com/donate-now/ (which was so supportive to all of us during the last days of Judie’s life). Arrangements by Alexander-Levitt (954) 963-2400
