Julius Arthur Maldonado's Obituary
Julius "Grampa" Maldonado a resident of Sunrise, FL for six years, formerly of Kissimmee, FL passed away Wednesday February 21, 2018. He was born September 15, 1925 in Manhattan, NY. Julius was born to his father Julio Maldonado of Arecibo, Puerto Rico and his mother Mary Meizer of Budapest, Hungary.
Julius was a WWII Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy from the years of 1943 to 1947 aboard the USS Aucilla (AO-56)
After proudly serving his country Julius worked over twenty years for the NY Dept. Public Works. On December 1950 Julius married his lovely wife Pura. Just five years later in September 1955 they had their only son Steven who served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.
"Grampa" was dearly loved by so many people.
His personality and his smile was infectious. He was described as always being kind, loving, and gracious. He was always willing to help someone in need without hesitation.
Julius is survived by his daughter in law Doris of Sunrise, FL, his three grandchildren Stephen of Milwaukee WI, Benjamin of Sunrise Fl, Christian of Wildwood NJ and three great grandchildren Antonio, Giovanni, and Julius all of Sunrise, FL
