Linda W Seiler's Obituary
Linda Seiler, 77, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Linda was born on January 27, 1946, to Leo and Victoria Waldman in Philadelphia, PA. After Linda graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1963, she went on to study at Penn State.
In 1965, after six years of looking at him through the window of his jewelry store in Duluth, Minnesota, the love of her life, Michael Seiler, finally noticed her. They went on a date, and two weeks later they were engaged. Linny and Michael went on to have two beautiful children, Randi and Lee.
Sadly, after eight years of a fairytale marriage, Michael’s life was cut short. Linny was the sole parent of two young children. Her great strength and perseverance kicked in, and despite the loss of Michael and her own chronic health issues, she pursued a very successful career as an executive recruiter.
In 1999, Linny met her wonderful, second husband, Leonard Shubitz. They went on to share a loving and adventurous marriage.
Not only was Linny a devoted mother, but she was an equally devoted grandmother, and visited her four grandchildren every chance she got.
She is survived by her two children, Randi and Lee (Caryn); her stepsons, Scott and Jamie Shubitz; her four grandchildren, Michael and Cameron Marino, and Madison and Logan Seiler; her son-in-law, Jim Marino; her sister, Lois Raticoff, and her loyal dog, Daisy.
A memorial service will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel Delray (5808 W. Atlantic Avenue), on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Shiva to follow at Linny’s residence (14767 Strand Lane, Delray 33446). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org/donate).
