Lorraine Janet Sukornick's Obituary
Lorraine Janet (Rubin) Sukornick passed away on July 25, 2022, after a
long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia in Tamarac, FL. She was born in the
Bronx, New York on January 20, 1933. After marrying she resided in
Columbia, MO, Morristown, NJ, Williamsville, NY, and retired to Cooper
City, FL. Lorraine was a graduate of NYC’s Hunter College, was a
homemaker and worked as a Teacher’s Aide. She was predeceased by her
loving and devoted husband Bernard Sukornick, PhD (March 4, 2016), and
by her adoring parents the late Morris and Rose (Alfano) Rubin of the
Bronx, NY and Miami Beach, FL. Lorraine is survived by her loving children,
a daughter Susan M. (Sukornick) Baskin and her s/o Robert Silvia of Havre
de Grace, MD, a son Michael D. Sukornick (Gabriela) of Sunrise, FL, and
granddaughters Kendall R. Baskin of Philadelphia, PA and Aleisha N.
Sukornick of Sunrise, FL. The family would like to thank Lorraine’s loyal
friend and personal caregiver Julieann Drummond. Funeral arrangements
will be private. Donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to a charity
of your choice.
