Luis Eduardo Durant's Obituary
Luis Durant, age 59, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025.
Born on October 17, 1965, in Barranquilla, Colombia, Luis was the beloved son of Nancy Cadena and New Durant. A man of quiet strength and deep intellect, Luis moved to the United States to pursue his education and earned his degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Luis was known for his calm, gentle nature and his steadfast presence. He never sought the spotlight, but those who knew him always felt his quiet support and thoughtful kindness. He loved reading—especially the novels of John Grisham—and found joy in life’s simple, steady rhythms.
He is survived by his son, Alexander Durant; his mother, Nancy Cadena; and his sisters, Nancy, Gigi, and Pilar. He also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were touched by his quiet wisdom and unassuming generosity.
Luis will be remembered for his humility, grace, and the comfort he gave simply by being there. He will be deeply missed.
