Lynn Mitchell's Obituary
Lynn Mitchell passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the age of 102.
Lynn was a talented woman, who sang in NYC nightclubs in her 20’s. She continued singing and dancing after she met her husband Ira Mitchell at a Hadassah Dance in 1946. She opened a dance school in 1950 in Geneva, New York.
She raised a family of 3 children, Fran, Alan, and Andy, as she continued to entertain and run her dance school.
The highlight of her life was for her 80th Birthday, Lynn was a guest on the Rosie O’Donnell show. She sang and tapped with the band and brought the house down.
In 1985, Lynn and Ira retired to Florida. Lynn immediately developed a one woman show, singing and dancing, creating her own costumes, and performing in South Florida.
Her husband, Ira Mitchell, pre deceased her in 2018. She is survived by her children.
