I met Marcia when I started to work for Books-A-Million in November of 2000 and we became friends right away. We shared a love for books, movies, travel, but it was her calm and warm personality that made me so fond of her from the beginning.
Throughout the years we spent a lot of time together on and off work. I loved to hear her opinion on different subjects and always respected her advice, which proved to be always the wisest, when I faced difficult times.
Marcia was a volunteer at the Public Library, where she worked with children after school and every time she told me about her experience with them, her whole face lit up. Her choice inspired me to become a volunteer too.
She was smart, funny, loved her family and the best friend one could have.
My deep condolences to Bill, Debi and their families. She was a very special person who will be missed tremendously.
