Margarita Colorado's Obituary
Margarita Colorado, lovingly known as “La Negrita,” was born in Buenaventura, Colombia, on July 3, 1961, and passed peacefully on October 18, 2025, at her beloved home — the restaurant that reflected her heart and joy.
She was known by all as a loving, happy, and caring soul with a kind and generous heart. An exceptional mother of three — and many more she lovingly “adopted” — an unconditional friend, and the best cook, La Negrita shared her love through every plate she prepared, always seasoned with her most special ingredient: love.
Her bright smile, playful jokes, and dancing spirit brought light and laughter wherever she went. She found joy in life’s simple moments — especially in playing board games (and winning) — reminding everyone that life is meant to be lived with laughter and heart.
La Negrita’s endless faith was a reflection of God’s love in all she did. Her life was a true testament to kindness, joy, and devotion.
Her warmth and spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
We will celebrate her life with love and gratitude.
