Murray Fried, a cherished resident of Miami and Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on August 14, 1928, in
Brooklyn, New York, Murray lived a long and meaningful life grounded in love, family, and devotion to those around him.
Murray was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elva Fried, with whom he shared many years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering companionship. He leaves behind a devoted family who will forever treasure his memory: His children: Harriet Fried Zazzaro, Rachelle Fried Rodriquez, Curtis William (Carol) Fried, and Martin Robert (Caren) Fried. His grandchildren: Veronica, Erica, Hannah, Aaron, Andrew, Chelsea, Kayla, Morgan, and Dylan, each of whom held a special place in his heart and his great‑grandchildren: Belleamie and Michaela, whose joy and energy brightened his later years.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, 1125 NW 137th Street, Miami, Florida 33168. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor Murray’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Murray’s honor to the Veterans Affairs (https://www.va.gov) or Temple Shaarei Shalom (https://www.templeshaareshalom), causes that reflect his values and the communities he cared about.
Murray’s kindness, strength, and enduring love for his family will be remembered always. May his memory be a blessing.
