Myron "Mike" Gordon Carrel's Obituary
Myron Gordon (Mike) Carrel, died peacefully on September 13, 2021 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he was a resident of Fort Lauderdale Health & Rehab for 2 years. Prior to this he lived in Hollywood, Florida for many years. Born in Buffalo, New York on June 28, 1934. He met the challenges of being profoundly hearing impaired from birth and was successful in his endeavors, graduating from University of Buffalo, School of Pharmacy. He moved to Florida in 1955 where he eventually opened and ran his own pharmacy in South Miami for many years. He enjoyed sports, particularly basketball and football and supported his chosen teams – the Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat. He was an avid supporter of Israel and followed the tenets of his religion throughout his life. Predeceased by his parents Marvin Bear Carrel and May Slott Carrel. Survived by sisters: June Feuerstein of Buffalo and Ileen Carrel (Victoria Fowler) of Fort Lauderdale. Nieces and Nephews: Steven Miller (Allison), Amy O’Donnell (Jack), Judith Healey, Marjorie Quartley, all of Buffalo, Allan Frankel (Sara) of Cincinnati, and several great nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Beth David Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Florida. Services will be private. Under the Direction of Alexander-Levitt Memorial Chapel (954) 721-2500
