Nancy Faye Williams' Obituary
Nancy Faye Williams
May 17, 1945 – August 9, 2025
Nancy Faye Williams, 80, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, Nancy brought her signature sparkle to the world from the moment she arrived on May 17, 1945. A graduate of Coffee High School, she carried her Florence roots — and her flair — everywhere she went. She spent a significant part of her adult life in Huntsville, Alabama, before eventually settling in Florida in her later years.
Nancy was unapologetically herself. She never stepped out the door without donning her best jewelry and her makeup perfectly applied. She had a keen fashion sense and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Her style was as vibrant as her personality — funny, extravagant, and, as one family member described her, nothing short of a “legend.” She loved to shop, chase adventures, and turn even the most ordinary day into a celebration. Wherever she was, there was bound to be laughter, a good story, and maybe a little mischief.
She is survived by her devoted sister and caretaker, Beverly Williams Bigger, and brother-in-law, Brian Bigger; her son, Stephen Williams, and grandson, Shane Williams, whom she loved with her whole heart; her brother, Freddie Wilson, and his wife, Gloria; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Megan Williams, Jessica Thomas, Keith Wilson, and Scott Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Joseph Wilson; her sister, Peggy Power; her nephew, Beau Williams; her ex-husband and close friend, Harold Williams; and her beloved pets, Sylvester the cat and Muffin the dog.
Nancy’s life was a testament to living boldly, laughing often, and always wearing your best earrings. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and joyfully celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Nancy’s memory by wearing something fabulous and treating yourself to a little adventure.
