Mr. Burkowsky was a great teacher of Chemistry and great leader of the science department at Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn. He was a mentor to me, and I deeply appreciated his presence, his kindness and his professionalism. I have fond memories of my trying to convince him to stop smoking cigars. He presented as a tough person that teenagers would not want to play around with, but really he was a tender-hearted person. May God bless his family.
Paul was intelligent, kind, warm and a loving grandfather to his 3 grand daughters, Ann, Ava and Alyse. He shared his love and vast knowledge freely with his family and friends.
He will remembered and missed.
