Rita Schwartzwald, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Parkland, Florida, at the age of 96.
Born on March 11, 1929, in the Bronx, New York, Rita lived a life full of warmth, resilience, and devotion to her family. Her legacy is carried on by her loving sons: Mark Schwartzwald, Kenneth Schwartzwald (Michael Goldfarb), and Robert (Terese) Schwartzwald. She was a proud grandmother to Alan Schwartzwald (Brittany), Michael (Cheryl) Schwartzwald, and Amy Weissman (Eric), and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
Rita’s life was also enriched by the love of many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be remembered for her gentle strength, her deep love for family, and the grace with which she lived her life. Rita’s memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
