Robert I Geller's Obituary
Robert I. Geller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and community. He was born on February 26, 1941, in Peekskill, New York, to Harry and Anna Geller, and was raised in the Bronx on Morris Avenue.
Robert graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics, a path that reflected his lifelong interest in aviation. Shortly after high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962, stationed in Plattsburgh, New York. It was there that he met the love of his life, Rosemary. The two were married in 1962 in her hometown of Montreal and shared 54 wonderful years together until her passing.
Following his military service, Robert began a long and dedicated career as an airline mechanic with Pan Am. He and Rosemary settled in Plainview, New York, where they raised their two sons, Craig and Steve, building a warm and loving home.
In later years, Robert moved to Florida, where he spent the last 39 years of his life, including the past 25 years at Kings Point in Tamarac. He embraced his community fully, enjoying local outings with the men’s club and veterans club, and was especially fond of his poker nights at the clubhouse. Above all, Robert cherished time with his family, particularly during holidays and special gatherings.
He is survived by his loving sons, Craig (Christine) and Steve (Deborah); his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Brian, Rachel, and Sarah; and his sister, Eileen Sklar.
Robert will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
