Roy McCombs Spear's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roy McCombs Spear, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on October 8, 2024. He was 75 years old.
Born on June 19, 1949, He was a proud Army Veteran in the Vietnam War. He spent nearly 40 wonderful years with his wife, Elain Judith Berger, whom he adored. Inspired by their love, he converted to Judaism, embracing a faith that brought him great joy.
An aficionado of simple pleasures, he had a particular fondness for cheeseburgers and fried chicken with a coke, and enjoyed these comforts till the very end. His warmth, humor, and genuine spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind A daughter and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2024 @ 12:30pm at VA National Cemetery in Jacksonville .
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Honor Flight Network of South Florida via https://www.honorflightsouthflorida.org/ in his name.
