Ruth Flygare's Obituary
Ruth Flygare passed away on March 31, 2026 in Lauderhill, FL. Ruth was born on July 18, 1939 in Steubenville, Ohio to Joseph and Ruth Sopher. Her husband Ellis Flygare preceded her death in 2002.
While Ruth grew up in Ohio, she also spent time living in California and then made South Florida her home in the 1970’s. Ruth spent several decades employed in healthcare as a patient care attendant, working at Westside Regional Hospital in Plantation and University (now Woodmont) Hospital in Tamarac.
Always having a giving nature, after her retirement in 2006, Ruth spent much of her time as a volunteer at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Ruth is survived by her two sisters Jane and Rita, nephews Paul, Sean, and Kevin, and many great nephews and nieces.
