Sam Richter's Obituary
Sam “Shmuel” Richter, age 76, of Delray Beach Florida, beloved husband of Ronnie, nee Shulman Turner; loving father of Lorri Hammer (Barry), Alanna Arenstein, Jennifer Bernstein (Rob), Jordana Reid (Jonas), Jason Richter, Brett Turner (Jennifer) and Allyson Turner (Brian); adored Papa of Dani, Lily, Emma, Jake, Nate, Reid, Alex, Grayson, Jack and Alex; devoted son of the late Joseph Richter, Esther Richter and David Krasner; dear brother of Morris Richter (Gertie). Born in a Russian prisoner of war camp and spending his earliest years at the displaced persons camp of Bergen-Belsen, Sam overcame a childhood of loss and poverty to become a successful, tenacious, self-educated, real estate developer who helped change the face of Florida with his successful condominiums and multi-family developments. He was an avid golfer, cigar-smoking connoisseur, graceful skier, part-time cowboy, and loyal friend. Most important to him was to be surrounded by his faithful dog Teddy and his large and loving family that he was so proud of. A funeral service for Sam is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12th at 2pm at Beth David Memorial Garden in Hollywood, Florida. Shiva will held at his home on Tuesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 13 from 6:30-8:30pm. Contributions may be made to the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation of Palm Beach.
