Sandra "Sandy" Kutikoff's Obituary
Sandra "Sandy" Kutikoff
August 20,1940 - June 18,2026
Sandy was born in Brooklyn, NY and remained a NYC resident until she retired in 1995 and moved to Florida.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bernie, and parents, Kay, Leo and Jack.
Sandy is survived by her children Shari (Ken) and Bruce, grandchildren Adam (Christina), Jasmine and great granddaughter Novalynn whom she loved beyond words.
She is also survived by her sister Bonnie and brother in law Stephen (Ginny).
She is affectionately known as Auntie Bubula by many of the nieces and nephews that also survive her.
Sandy was a secretary, working the last years of her career as a well respected school secretary. During her years at Hillcrest High School, she made many friends with whom she kept in touch with after she retired.
She was always known for her warmth, love of people, generosity, good nature and smile. Later in life, her faith and love of shopping also became evident.
Once in Florida, she became very active in the Olive Tree Congregation, attending weekly Shabbat services for over 30 years, until a few weeks before her death. It was the highlight of her week, especially in her later years.
She was very independent and loved spending everyday outside of the house socializing, shopping and eating. She often took friends on her daily outings to movies, activities, Saturday services and appointments.
Whenever she went shopping, before and after her illness, she thought of others near and far including buying triplicates of outfits for her, her daughter and granddaughter.
During the last decade of her life, she made a special friend, Richard, who brought her great joy and companionship. He preceded her in death less than two months before her own, though her mind shielded her from that loss.
During the last three years of her life, Sandy remained a kind and loving spirit.
She was blessed to have been loved and cared for by three of the most awesome, loving, fun and nurturing ladies, "Girlfriend" Madeline, "Nurse" Letty and "Teacher" Nancy, who remained with her until her last breath, along with her children.
