Seena Janet Cohen's Obituary
It is with deep sadness, and profound gratitude for her life, that we announce the passing of our mother Seena Cohen.
Known as Sister, Sissy, Aunt Sis, Miss Sissy, and Seena, she was a remarkable woman who brought strength, love, laughter and wisdom to many, many people over the course of her life.
Our Mom, besides being a wonderful mom, was a loyal friend, an incredible sounding board, an attentive listener – and a woman who always knew what someone needed from her and always gave without expecting anything in return.
She never looked away from a challenge, knew when to laugh, and always saw the silver lining.
Seena was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cohen, and daughter, Donna Bankoff. She leaves behind two daughters, Dori Cohen and Roberta Cohen Perkins, and her son-in-law, Richard Perkins, who were her pillars. She loved them and they loved her, unparalleled.
Seena passed peacefully, in her home, in the early morning of July 12, 2026
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Levitt Weinstein/Beth David Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions in Seena's memory be made to one of the following organizations:
Boca Raton Hospice by the Sea: Eagle and Crisis Care Teams Trustbridge Foundation, Inc. 5300 East Avenue West Palm Beach, FL 33407

Disabled Veterans National Foundation 4601 Forbes Blvd., Suite 130 Lanham, MD 20706
