Steven Mendelson's Obituary
Steven Mendelson, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was an amazing man with a kind and gentle soul. For someone who wanted to be in the shadows, he seemed to glow for all to see. He gave his all to his family, including his daughter, Lily, who he was so very proud of and his loving wife, Liza, of 26 years. He knew just how to put a smile on someone's face, give the warmest hugs, make you laugh, and be there for you no matter what. His unconditional love was worn on his sleeve and will live on with his family and loved ones.
Steven had a profound passion for riding motorcycles, he lived to ride. He found a sense of family in B.A.C.A., Alligator Alley Harley Davidson, and the HOG Chapter. Also, we cannot forget those he has healed, as a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 30 years.
Steven Mendelson, beloved husband of Liza Mendelson, devoted father of Lily Mendelson, loving son of Fred and Flora Mendelson, dear brother of Erin Macaluso and Ryan (Robin) Mendelson, admired uncle of Elliot (Nicole) Macaluso,Nicole “Nikki” Macaluso (James Sterlin), Sean (Dina) Shaffer, and Christopher Adams, great-uncle of Jaden Sterlin, son-in-law of Murray and Dianne Rubin, brother-in-law of Marc (Jill) Rubin and Todd Rubin, and uncle of Luke and Blake Rubin.
One of Coach’s biggest passions in life was an organization known as Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.). It exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. They are a body of Bikers that empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. Coach was the Child Liason of B.A.C.A.’s Sawgrass Chapter. He was dedicated to protecting these children in need, giving them the strength, confidence, and protection to keep fighting. Coach’s family asks that you help support this cause in honor of his love and devotion for it. Use the following link to donate: https://florida.bacaworld.org/sawgrass-chapter.
