Susan Channing's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Susan Schneider Channing on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Susan was the beloved wife of the late Joel Channing, devoted mother to Melissa Channing Munchick (Lorin Munchick) and Jennifer Channing Elegant (Justin Elegant), the proud, adoring grandmother of Luke Elegant, Hudson Elegant and Aria Munchick, a loving sister to Lloyd Schneider, and a cherished friend to many.
Susan‘s life was defined by her limitless love for family. She was a constant source of connection, comfort, and celebration. She especially treasured her role as “Gaga,” finding her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
A funeral service honoring Susan’s life will be held on Friday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth Sholom, 4144 Chase Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140, followed by interment at Mt. Nebo Miami Memorial Gardens, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami, FL 33126.
The family will gather for shiva on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th from 4pm to 8pm at the Elegant home, 5925 North Bay Road, Miami Beach, FL 33140.
