Susan Santoriella's Obituary
SUSAN “SUSIE” CUOMO SANTORIELLA, 101, passed away peacefully on August 9 , 2020 in Plantation, FL, from complications of Covid-19.
Born on July 19, 1919 in Youngstown Ohio to Joseph and Catherine Hudak, Susie is the youngest daughter of 13 children. At age 18 Susie moved to Bronx, NY to be with her sisters and eventually married; having 2 children. Susie also married again in 1961. After the death of her second husband Susie moved to Rockaway Township, NJ where she lived for 46 years with her youngest daughter and family, before moving to Plantation ,FL. in 2017. Susie will always be known as the staple of her family, never missing a family event and enjoyed a Whiskey Sour. She loved the NY Yankees, playing Mexican Train, Pokeno and other games with her family, going to play Bingo, a Casino or the horse races. She could always be found attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events. Susie wasn’t only Nana to them, she was “Nana” to everyone that knew her and she will be greatly missed by everyone. She is predeceased by her loving parents Joseph and Catherine Hudak, her 12 brothers and sisters, granddaughter LoriAnn Stavitsky , niece Margaret Hudak and her 4 nephews Richard D’Asaro, Ronald D’Asaro, Robert Wagner and Frank Stanczyk.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Cuomo Santoriella of Plantation, FL. and Ann Louise Cuomo Holder and her husband Joseph of Plantation, FL. Her grandchildren Richard Stavitsky and his wife Lisa, Eileen Sorbera and her husband Phillip and Joseph Holder all from NJ. Her 5 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alysia , Kaitlyn, Layne and Leah. Her nephew Joseph D’Asaro and his wife Donna from New Fairfield, CT. and Family. The many members of the Santoriella family. And all of her many nieces and
nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service held on Thursday August 27, 2020 1:00pm at: Alexander-Levitt Funerals and Cremations, 8133 W. McNab Rd., Tamarac, FL. 33321. A Memorial will also be held in NJ at a later date.
