Gail was the loving center of her family, and a very dear friend. We first met at age six. Throughout our lives we had catch phrases. When were children, and planning to continue playing after dinner, it was “You call for me, or I’ll call for you.” Days before Beth and Monica were born, we strolled through the Prospect Park Zoo, pushing Mitch in a stroller, and were told, by a group of women, not to look at the monkeys lest we give birth to one. For years afterward we’d ask each other “How’s your monkey? “. Most recently, we marveled at the miracle of becoming great grandmothers.
My heart is broken at the thought of Gail leaving this earth, but joyful at the memories of us sharing a lifetime.
With love and condolences,
