Anabel Massave's Obituary
Anabel Massave, age 96, of Coconut Creek, FL passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.
Anabel was born on June 11, 1928 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to her parents Frieda and Solomon Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gerald Martin Massave, granddaughter Sara Faye Massave, and daughter, Hazel Ludwiczak
Anabel married the love of her life, Jerry, on June 29, 1947 in New Castle and they were married for 50 years prior to his passing. She is survived by her loving children, Jim Massave (Filitsa Massave), Bob Massave (Becky Massave), Beth Gastineau (Dan Gastineau) and (Ray Ludwiczak); her cherished grandchildren Naomi Berry (Del), Dylan Massave (Amrah), Rebecca Gastineau, Amy Gastineau, Megan Gastineau, Vianne Fleege r(Kristi), Audrey Safrit, Claire McMahon (Frank); and her 6 great-grandchildren Joshua, Kayla, Grace, Royce, Kyle and Lydia; along with her adored nieces and nephews.
Anabel moved from New Castle with her family following Jerry’s work in 1969 to Savannah, Georgia and then on to Miami Beach in 1972. In 1976, the family began Massave Produce, a distribution company, in Pompano Beach, where she enjoyed working for over 10 years until her retirement. She and Jerry enjoyed frequent trips to the Bahamas and Las Vegas. Anabel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who lived for and loved each one of her treasured family members and friends. Her hobbies included reading; watching sporting events on the television; playing cards with her friends and grandchildren; and going to the casino. One of her greatest joys was supporting her children and grandchildren in their sports and other activities through the years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Beth David Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3201 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024. The family will receive friends preceding the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.
